I'm a software engineer and traveler who got tired of wasting hours comparing eSIM plans across a dozen provider websites before every trip. So I built AvailSim — the comparison tool I kept wishing someone else had already made. I personally test eSIM providers on my travels and maintain every comparison on this site.

Our Mission

International eSIM plans vary wildly in price, coverage, speed, and reliability. Comparing them means opening dozens of provider tabs, cross-referencing country coverage, and trying to figure out which “unlimited” plan actually throttles after 2 GB.

AvailSim does the homework for you. I aggregate plans from 8+ trusted eSIM providers, normalize the data, and present it in a way that makes comparison effortless. Search by destination, filter by what matters to you, and find the right plan in minutes — not hours.

When you find the right plan, we link you directly to the provider's site to complete your purchase. No middleman, no markup.

Editorial Independence

Our comparisons are based on published plan details, pricing data, and real user feedback. As I travel, I personally test eSIM providers and publish the results — but I'm transparent about which countries I've tested firsthand and which are based on provider data alone.

Provider partnerships and affiliate relationships never influence rankings or recommendations. When a plan is marked as “My Pick,” it's because it genuinely offers the best combination of value and reliability for that destination — not because a provider paid for placement.

How We Make Money

AvailSim is free to use. We earn revenue through affiliate commissions — when you click through to a provider and purchase an eSIM plan, we may receive a small commission from that provider at no extra cost to you.

This affiliate model lets us keep the site free while maintaining editorial independence. We compare providers regardless of whether they have an affiliate program, and we never inflate ratings or hide cheaper options to drive commission.
